Jim has made books for decades now and it shows by his artistry. From making the paper, to binding, and forging the clasps, Jim puts his soul into each step.
On his journey to get his work sold across the world, his daughter reached out to me for professional photos. We met at a local coffee shop here in Moscow called Cafe Artista. Jim brought a few books to show me. He opened a vintage train case that held three or four books wrapped in salvaged fabric. While unwrapping the first book, he told me about the book making process.
There is no doubt about Jim’s love of salvaging and repurposing materials to make a beautiful piece of art. Once his work is available for purchase, I will update this post with info!
